H-Barn Project Campaign News

Happy Spring from all of us at
Partners for Parks!

We are happy to share our community has come together and raised $1,588,904 million dollars of our $3.5 million dollar goal for private sector support of the H-Barn Project.

We want to express our gratitude to those who have made this progress possible.

Here is what we have been up to...

Currently they are used for storage, however, we are dreaming of the day we can access the barns for community events.

*Fun fact: Clark Construction celebrated their 117th year in operation February, 2024.

In Memory

In February, Partners For Parks lost Honorary Co-Chair, Retired Army Lieutenant General (LTG) William “Bill” Harrison and joins the City of Lakewood in recognizing the passing of this great leader. General Harrison was a driving force behind the City of Lakewood’s incorporation and served as first mayor from 1995 through 2003, completing his service on the City Council in 2005. “Bill Harrison’s contributions to Lakewood are legion,” said Lakewood’s current mayor, Jason Whalen.   Read more...
