Partners for Parks Submits Grant Application for H-Barn Restoration Project

Lakewood - August 27, 2026 - Their most recent effort included the submission of a major grant application that could provide up to $2.8 million toward the project. This grant would help close the funding gap needed to complete the $12 million dollar project ($10.2 million for construction and $1.8 million for design, engineering and construction management).

Partners for Parks Announces Major Milestone in H-Barn Renovation Project with Generous Support from the Puyallup Tribe of Indians

Lakewood – April 28, 2025 – Partners for Parks is proud to share exciting news on our fund-raising efforts to support the H-Barn renovation project at Fort Steilacoom Park. In a significant show of support, the Puyallup Tribe of Indians has generously contributed $20,000 to the H-Barn restoration effort. This gift reflects the Tribe’s deep commitment to preserving the cultural and historical fabric of the community.

Barn Restoration Gains Momentum as Amazon & Hokold Foundation Donations Secures Latest Quarter Million in Funding

Lakewood – March 10, 2025 – Partners for Parks is excited to share major updates on the H-Barn renovation project, a historic preservation effort that will be a landmark achievement for the City of Lakewood and its residents. Two significant funding commitments have recently been secured. Amazon has generously committed $50,000 to support the renovation, and the Hokold Foundation of Lakewood, WA has pledged $200,000, further ensuring the project’s success. Lakewood – January 6, 2025 – Partners for Parks is excited to announce that BMW Northwest has committed to being the Corporate Champion for the historic H-Barn renovation project. As a Corporate Champion, BMW Northwest has generously donated over $50,000 to the project and will play a key role in rallying support from the business community to ensure the project's success.
